Torosaurus

This wonderful bronze torosaurus at the Yale Peabody Museum was sculpted by Michael Anderson (and helpers) working with as much scientific advice as the museum could muster. It is a fitter, leaner beast than we often see in recreations. I have mentioned Michel before in this blog (and there is a link to his excellent biography of James Perry Wilson in the Blogroll) – he was amazingly generous with his help, advice and his own research when I was working on my research into Wilson’s methods of diorama projection. You can see more about Michael’s work in this short film here.
