Mark Smout, Laura Allen and Geoff Manaugh’s British Exploratory Land Archive exhibition opened at the AA this evening – well worth a visit. Some views of the show.

NB: Steven Pippin notes that the axes “Space ” and “Time” should be swapped.
We visited Steven Pippin’s studio yesterday – here he explains the collapse of the universe and the basis of his Omega = 1 project by drawing on his workshop wall. Lots of stunning work.

Trondheim
I am in Trondheim for the Norwegian Artistic Research Program’s Autumn Forum where I am a respondent for one of the presenters (Neil Forrest, the very talented Canadian ceramicist). It is an impressive programme. I have been invited to quite a few conferences related to creative research but this is the first where one of the presenters has made a film starring Juliette Binoche! The film, A Thousand Times Goodnight, is by Erik Poppe (seen below in a subsequent session discussing his “subjective objective” method).
