Perry Kulper Drawing

Flying paint (thrown by an adjacent instrument) engaging with Perry Kulper’s drawing in one of our projects for Pamphlet 34. Notice the different behaviour of the paint when it hist his drawing pieces (the three-dimensional elements in front of the drawing).

The photographs are made with a high-speed flash, triggered manually.

Regarding your questions about the shadows from the flying paint, Frederik, you can see them quite clearly in these shots.

The drawing above is by Perry Kulper and is from our work for Pamphlet Architecture 34 – see the Orange  splatter from paint thrown by another instrument with a drawing by me on it. Perry’s drawing has subtle folds and the two pieces are independently adjustable on unequal length four bar mechanisms.

Perry Kulper and I have been working on some new projects that are published in Pamphlet Architecture No.34, which should be out in a month or so. The image above is an out take and shows one of Perry’s drawings and associated pieces on one instrument and mine hidden behind his dome. The picture is before paint started to fly. I will post some more views soon.
